The women's Bollekescross returns to Zogge, in Hamme, with only a short history of its own. Elite women's results there are recorded only for the last three editions, from 2011 to 2013, when the race was a Superprestige round. Daphny van den Brand won in 2011 and Sanne van Paassen in 2012, and in 2013 Nikki Harris led from start to finish on a muddy, heavy course, ahead of Sanne Cant, and said afterwards that she had never ridden the course well before. The organisers say about 95 percent of that old circuit has been kept, so the riders will find the same mix of short climbs, staircases and flyovers, a course that becomes slow and slippery when it is wet. For the women's field it is close to a new race, on a course with an old reputation.
