Dwars door Vlaanderen Women, Across Flanders, is a midweek cobbled Classic that bridges the opening weekend and the Tour of Flanders. First held in 2012, it crosses the short, steep Flemish bergs and cobbled sectors that define the region, on a course made for aggressive racing. Amy Pieters won it three times in a row in the mid-2010s, more than anyone. The race joined the top-level WorldTour calendar in 2026, raising its profile further. That year Marlen Reusser edged Demi Vollering in a tight finish. It is a sharp test of form in the build-up to the biggest cobbled Sunday.
