La Flèche Wallonne Femmes, the Walloon Arrow, is decided every year in the same place: the savage ramps of the Mur de Huy, where the gradient touches nineteen per cent in the final metres. First held in 1998, it is the most predictable of the Ardennes Classics in format and the most brutal in execution, since everyone knows the Mur will settle it and almost no one can do anything about it. Anna van der Breggen owned the race like no rider has owned any other, winning seven years in a row and earning the title Queen of the Mur. Marianne Vos won it five times before her. In 2026 Demi Vollering took her second, holding off a fast-finishing Puck Pieterse on the wall. The Mur de Huy is one of the great finishing climbs in the sport.
