Liège–Bastogne–Liège Femmes climbs the same dark Ardennes hills as La Doyenne, the Côte de la Redoute and La Roche-aux-Faucons, on one of the hardest one-day courses in the sport. First run in 2017, it has become the climax of the Ardennes week, a race for the strongest pure climbers. Anna van der Breggen and Annemiek van Vleuten traded its early editions, and Demi Vollering now holds the record with three wins. In 2026 Vollering settled it with a thirty-five kilometre solo from the Redoute, the kind of long-range attack the race seems to invite. The hills come late and the result is rarely a surprise, because here the best climber usually wins. It is the Ardennes Monument in everything but name.
