The women's race at Heusden-Zolder is run in and around the Circuit Zolder motor-racing track, where long, quick stretches of tarmac give way to steep wooded banks and technical descents. Marianne Vos dominated it in the World Cup years with seven wins between 2008 and 2018, and Lucinda Brand later won three in a row from 2019 to 2021. The course also produced a surprise at the 2016 World Championships, when Thalita de Jong started poorly in the rain, worked her way through from near the back and beat the favourite Sanne Cant to the title. In December 2025 Amandine Fouquenet opened small gaps in the technical section lap after lap until she was clear, and won alone by eight seconds over Blanka Vas to become the first French rider to win a Superprestige race. Held on Christmas Day for the first time in 2026, it opens a busy week of holiday racing.
