The women's race in Ruddervoorde runs over the same flat course near Bruges, where quick flat stretches lead into a long sand pit and a series of short ramps and barriers. Helen Wyman won the first regular edition in 2011, and Marianne Vos and Sanne Cant are among the later winners. Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado is the record holder with four wins, in 2019, 2020, 2023 and 2024, with Denise Betsema winning in between in 2021 and 2022. The 2025 race marked the return to cyclocross of the world champion Fem van Empel, who rode clear through the sand with two others before the leaders regrouped, and finished sixth. The win went to the Belgian champion Marion Norbert Riberolle, who attacked on the penultimate lap and pulled steadily away from Sara Casasola and Amandine Fouquenet. On a course that keeps the group together, the winner is usually the rider who picks the right moment to go.
