The Tour de Suisse Women is an Alpine stage race that has grown rapidly in length and prestige. First held in 2021, it now runs a serious week of mountain stages and time trialling through Switzerland, matching the ambition of the long-established men's race. The high passes make it a true climber's test in the heart of June. No rider has yet won it twice in its short history. Lizzie Deignan won the inaugural edition, and recent years have drawn the strongest stage racers in the world. It has become one of the key mountain races of the early summer.
