The Tour of Britain Women is the country's premier women's stage race, run on the rolling roads and short climbs that make British racing so unpredictable. It began in 2014 as the Women's Tour and was relaunched under the Tour of Britain name in 2024, after years as one of the best-supported races in the sport. Marianne Vos won the inaugural edition, and champions since have included Elisa Longo Borghini and Lotte Kopecky. With few long climbs, the race often turns on bonus seconds, crosswinds and a well-timed attack. The British crowds give it a big-race feel. It is a race that rarely produces a dull finish.
