The Women's Tour Down Under opens the WorldTour season in the South Australian summer, racing through the Adelaide Hills each January. First held in 2016, it has built a reputation for hard, aggressive racing, often decided on the climb of Willunga Hill. Amanda Spratt set the early standard with three overall wins, and the race has since launched the seasons of riders like Grace Brown and Sarah Gigante. In 2026 Noemi Rüegg took the overall, backing up her win from the year before. The summer timing makes it the first proper test of form after the winter. It is a bright, fast opening to the racing year.
