The women's Krawatencross has been part of the Lille race since 2003, on the sandy shore of the swimming lake in the Lilse Bergen. Sand is the main test, broken up by wooded paths, bridges and stairs, and it favours riders who can hold their speed through the soft sections. Sanne Cant holds the record with five wins, and Marianne Vos won in 2012 and 2013. The 2017 race was decided by a crash. Sophie de Boer, on course to win, fell and brought down Maud Kaptheijns and others, and world champion Cant escaped but could not get clear, so three riders came into the final 250 metres together and Kaptheijns won the sprint. In 2026 Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado won for the third time and ended Lucinda Brand's run of six straight Trofee round wins that season. It comes after the World Championships, near the end of the winter.
