Cyclocross Gullegem, held in a village that is part of Wevelgem in West Flanders, is one of the youngest races on the calendar, first run in January 2018. Its lap of about 2.6 kilometres winds through fields along the Heulebeek stream, with two bridges, logs, a sand pit, a washboard section and a short climb, and the stream has flooded part of the course more than once. Even before it joined the Superprestige it drew the biggest names in early January, and Mathieu van der Poel won three in a row from 2019 to 2021. Wout van Aert won twice, the first time in 2023 on a heavy, boggy course where he finished 23 seconds clear of Eli Iserbyt. In January 2026, with snowflakes in the air, Niels Vandeputte took his first Superprestige round win after a long duel with Michael Vanthourenhout, his rival for the overall title. In 2026–27 it hosts the series final for the first time.
